The central idea of this project is the character of the materials in relation to themselves and what they become.
There are two official stages within the work, brought about through different media: photography and installations. These formats help the artist to investigate the disintegration of the works and how the cast-off and residual materials which surround the art work which accumulate in studios can be used.
At this point stress is on the creative process and the rituals based around it inside the artist’s studio. All of these elements are linked to transitory states, and this is why the works that are mentioned have a strong procedural character.
Each photograph captures a moment which helps bring together the stages of the process.
The following images show the imprint of the work and suggest a close relationship between the piece and the space, and how this relationship dictates the expressive tone of the installation.
Este proyecto tiene como eje vertebrador el carácter de los materiales en relación a sí mismos y a aquello en lo que se transforman.
Se plantean dos etapas dentro del trabajo formalizadas a través de diferentes medios: fotografía e instalación.
Estos soportes sirven a la artista para indagar, en una primera etapa sobre la desmaterialización de las obras y la rematerialización en los soportes de los elementos de desecho o residuales, que están entorno a la obra de arte y que se acumulan en los estudios. En este punto se pone el acento en el proceso creativo y los rituales que se generan entorno a él en el interior del laboratoro artístico, pues todos estos elementos se vinculan a estados transitorios y de ahí el marcado carácter procesual de las obras que se plantéan. El registro fotográfico marca una acotación temporal en el que se recogen momentos del proceso.
Las imágenes que se muestran a continuación constituyen la huella del hacer y plantéan la estrecha relación entre obra y espacio y como dicha relación genera el tono expresivo de la instalación.
